World class family theatre company Stuff and Nonsense, who fuse puppetry, humour and physicality with…
Pinocchio-a-go-go!
We are delighted to announce that Arts Council England have awarded Stuff and Nonsense funding to complete the creation of our new show, Pinocchio.
Having already completed Research and Development, including crucial experimentation and collaboration time with local children and production time on the mainstage at Lighthouse, Poole, we are delighted to now confirm that we’ll be able to bring this incredible new show to fruition and begin to tour it this coming autumn.
Using the classic elements of the tale – a poor woodcarver, the tell-tale growing nose, the dream of becoming a real boy – Stuff and Nonsense add their hallmark hilarity, cleverness, puppetry, music, fantastic staging, outstanding performers and extraordinary physical tricks, in their most ambitious production to date.
Suitable for all the family, ages 3+.
Stuff and Nonsense are leaders in family theatre and Director Niki McCretton has children’s sensibilities in her heart and family connection as her mission. Families don’t stop talking about our shows!
Pinocchio is a co-production with Theatre Royal Plymouth, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, with additional support from Lighthouse, Poole, The Point, Eastleigh and The Lyric, Bridport.
